The Visionaries Breakfast is an uplifting, high-impact morning that brings together community leaders, philanthropists, and healthcare champions to support Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Hosted on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Brookstreet Hotel, guests will enjoy a delicious (and healthy) breakfast and have the opportunity to network with community leaders and medical professionals from QCH.
This year’s breakfast will:
• Celebrate QCH’s 50-year legacy of compassion, innovation, and community care
• Honour the people who have shaped local healthcare over the past five decades
• Raise critical funds for urgent hospital priorities, including lifesaving medical equipment
• Inspire collective action toward QCH’s historic expansion project
Together, we are providing world-class care, close to home.

Celebrating 50 Years of Care at Queensway Carleton Hospital
Queensway Carleton Hospital is the only full-service hospital in west Ottawa, serving more than 500,000 people each year—nearly half the city’s population.
Originally built in 1976 for just 100,000 residents, QCH now operates beyond capacity with the Emergency Department seeing 80,000+ visits annually, projected to exceed 100,000 by 2028–29.
Thanks to donor support through QCH Foundation, the hospital has already delivered remarkable innovation over the last five decades expanding care for those who live and work in west Ottawa—from the Myers Automotive Acute Care of the Elderly Unit, to 4K surgical suites, to the Barbara Crook and Dan Greenberg Mental Health Centre.
Now, QCH is preparing for the largest expansion in the hospital’s history and has submitted a proposal to government to more than double the Emergency Department, add 90 new inpatient beds and expand Ambulatory Care.
This expansion—50 years in the making—will reduce wait times, improve patient outcomes, and help attract top medical talent to our community.
QCH Foundation Key Priorities
- Investing in the future of QCH with an expansion of the hospital – which includes more than doubling the size of the Emergency Department (ED)
- Purchasing life-saving medical devices and equipment for the hospital
Table Captains
Imagine providing a physician with the latest medical instruments for less invasive surgical care. With your support of the Visionaries Breakfast YOU will be putting the latest tools and devices in the hands of the medical experts at QCH.
What most people don’t know is that government funding does not cover the costs of medical devices for hospitals. Each year, donors to Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation provide important funding to help with the purchase of life-saving equipment.
As a Table Captain, you are a champion for local healthcare.
Your Commitment
• Invite and host six (6) guests at your table
• Attend and help create a welcoming, engaging experience
• Encourage guests to support QCH through a meaningful donation
Each table includes:
• You, as Table Captain
• Six confirmed guests
• One QCH expert who will share insights and answer questions. QCH Foundation will match a QCH expert to your table.
There is no cost to attend the breakfast, however guests should be aware in advance that this is a fundraising event and there will be moments throughout the morning
when attendees will be encouraged to make a donation.
