The 2025 Visionaries Breakfast proved to be an extraordinary morning of generosity and community spirit, bringing together business and community leaders in support of Queensway Carleton Hospital.
The event kicked off with a powerful start, as two remarkable $100,000 gifts launched the fund-a-need equipment auction, inspiring an outpouring of support from attendees. Thanks to the dedication of 33 table captains who rallied their networks, the event was filled with champions for healthcare, ultimately raising an incredible $483,000 to enhance patient care and hospital services.
A highlight of the morning was the presentation of the prestigious Luminary Awards to three outstanding community leaders—Ron Prehogan, Jan Harder, and the late Wayne Hussey—whose contributions have had a profound impact on both the hospital and the broader community. Their dedication and leadership continue to inspire those working to strengthen healthcare in the region.
Now in its third year, the Visionaries Breakfast series has raised an astounding $1.3 million for Queensway Carleton Hospital, reinforcing the power of community-driven philanthropy. This year’s success is a testament to the unwavering generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, whose support is transforming healthcare for the region. With such incredible momentum, anticipation is already building for what the community will achieve at next year’s event.
