Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation would like to extend our gratitude to outgoing board members Ed Herweyer, Doug Hewson, Cal Kirkpatrick and Benson Wong for their outstanding support and years of dedication to advancing local healthcare.

Ed Herweyer joined the QCH Foundation Board in 2017 and during his time as a director and an active member of the Ambassadors, the Foundation raised more than $32.6 Million. Ed has supported the Foundation with a personal gift and corporate sponsorships through his business Annis O’Sullivan Vollebekk Ltd.

Doug Hewson has been a staunch support of QCH Foundation making a personal leadership gift and hosting a golf tournament to raised funds and awareness for the hospital. Doug has supported every active fundraising campaign including mammography, surgery, mental health and emerging priorities since he joined the board in 2017. Along with serving as a director, he assumed the role of Chair of the Finance Committee. During Doug’s time on the board the Foundation raised an impressive $32.6 Million.

Cal Kirkpatrick became a member of the QCH Foundation Board in 2016 and during his time the Foundation raised more than $38.1 Million. Cal has served as a member of the Board Executive Committee, played an active role in the Ambassador group and took on a leadership role for the Acute Care of the Elderly Campaign. Along with making a personal gift in support of QCH, Cal sponsored fundraising events through his company Colonnade Bridgeport.

Benson Wong served as a Board Member between 2021 and 2023 and during his time the board raised $10.8 Million. Benson participated in first ever Donor Thank You Drive-Thru during the pandemic. Benson served as a member of the Finance Committee and provided staff education sessions on topics including Bitcoin and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace.
