Brookstreet Hotel once again opened its doors — and its heart — to Queensway Carleton Hospital for the annual Lumière Gala.
On Thursday, September 4, 2025, more than 500 guests arrived in style for a sold-out celebration inspired by the elegance and romance of Paris. With umbrellas floating overhead, a glowing Eiffel Tower, stunning pink floral trees, and even a Parisian-style gate at the entrance, guests were truly transported to the City of Lights — all while raising $162,280 in support of Queensway Carleton Hospital’s top priorities. Your generosity helps ensure QCH continues to provide outstanding care, innovation, and comfort to patients and families in our community.
✨ A Night in Paris — For a Cause
The evening began with a VIP Sponsor Reception, hosted by Terry Matthews (founder and chairman of Wesley Clover International and owner of Brookstreet Hotel), who welcomed special guests and shared words of gratitude for the ongoing support of local healthcare.
Guests then stepped into a dazzling Parisian soirée, featuring live music by Rebecca Noelle, charming donation activations, a French-inspired menu, exciting raffle prizes and live auction, and a fireworks finale that lit up the Kanata sky.
This year’s Live Auction was full of generous bidding and memorable moments. One of the evening’s standouts? A breathtaking custom diamond necklace designed exclusively for Lumière by Farrah Fine Jewellers.
Guests also bid on luxurious getaways — including a four-night stay at Celtic Manor in Wales, a Senators Club Bell experience, and a Montebello weekend retreat.
A heartfelt thank you to our presenting sponsor, RBC Royal Bank, our online auction sponsor, Royal LePage Team Realty, and our gracious host and longtime partner, Brookstreet Hotel — your support helped make Lumière 2025 truly unforgettable.
This magical night would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and every guest who joined us in support of local healthcare.
