I’m thrilled to announce that after the success of our 2020 Hike for Healthcare, we will be holding the Hike again this year, and registration is now open!
Hike for Healthcare is a virtual event that encourages our community to get outside and hike in support of urgent healthcare needs at Queensway Carleton Hospital. Last year’s inaugural event raised over $50,000 for medical equipment purchases. More than 100 hikers participated and over 500 donors contributed.
From now until October 31, we are challenging you to hike, walk or run 10km to raise funds for our hospital’s urgent healthcare priorities, including building space for additional patient beds, updating our surgical suites, and for urgently needed medical equipment.
You can hike indoors on a treadmill, outdoors in your neighborhood, or on the many beautiful trails Ottawa has to offer. You can participate as an individual or encourage friends, family or colleagues to join you and create a team. Not only will you be helping to raise critical funds for our hospital, this event is a great way to keep fit and healthy while safely following public health guidelines.
Plus, if you sign up for Hike for Healthcare before September 6, you will automatically be entered in a draw to win a $200 Visa gift card.
I’ve signed-up for a second year for this exciting event, and I really hope you will too.
Registration is online and easy.
Thank you, for your ongoing and generous support. We appreciate it so much.
With sincere gratitude,
Shannon Gorman, President & CEO, Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation
