QCH Foundation recently received a donation from a grateful family member of a QCH patient, as a thank you to Catharene Smith, Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) Unit Care Faciliator – recognizing her as a Champion of Care. Our Foundation team recently presented Catharene with her Champion of Care pin and shared a lovely message from the donor:

“Catharene and the ACE Unit team have been very caring and understanding in a time when my mother needed it the most. It is very comforting to know her needs are being taken care of by such a compassionate group.”

Congratulations Catharene on your well deserved nomination!

Jhocelyn Saikaley

This is Jhocelyn from our Acute Care of the Eldery (ACE) Unit. The Ireland family was so grateful for the care their father received that they chose to make a gift to our Foundation to recognize Jhocelyn as a Champion of Care. Shannon Gorman, QCH Foundation President & CEO, presented Jhocelyn with her Champion of Care pin recently in front of the ACE Unit team.

Thank you to the Ireland family for this kind and generous gift. And congratulations to Jhocelyn on this wonderful and well deserved recognition.

At QCH, you have the opportunity to recognize and show appreciation when a member of our team has provided exceptional care by making a donation in honour of the care received. When you make a Champion of Care donation you can send a personal message of thanks that will be shared with your Champion. They will also receive a special pin to wear with pride. Your gift not only shows your appreciation, your support will ensure our QCH team continues to have the equipment and tools they need to care for you, your family, friends and our entire community.
