Some golfing respite

Thanks to Amberwood Golf and Country Club and our amazing community of supporters, last month some of our QCH team were able to take a well deserved respite to enjoy a wonderful day of golf and lunch, compliments of the golf course.

This fun day was planned by Amberwood and the community as a gracious way to say thank you to our QCH team for their work during COVID-19. To no one’s surprise, our community rallied around this event – many people volunteered to help during the day by assisting with food and drink preparation.

The most heart warming gesture was the signs that were made by members of our community. These signs showed appreciation to our staff and they were placed all over the golf course, at every hole, and even on the fences of neighbouring backyards.

TSN’s Ian Mendes also volunteered to help during the day and Stittsville’s councilor Glen Gower was there to say thank you to our team.

Our staff, 120 golfers to be exact, were so humbled and thrilled by this recognition.

We are so lucky to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you!
